The divisions between poetry and prose aren't clear-cut, but here are some generally accepted differences. The language of prose is typically straightforward without much decoration. Ideas are contained in sentences that are arranged into paragraphs. There are no line breaks.

There are some common things between poem and prose. say for i.e, Language first of all, then pleasure, delight, catharsis and other feelings like that. All the things which can be narrated in poem, it also can be expressed well in prose writing.

Bht how and where it differs is thus -
In comparison with poem, prose have limited addition of meanings whereas poem can be meant in thousands of ways. It is the charm of poetry. There might be less words than prose but it can be interpreted in so many ways.

Now if we glimpse over on Coleridge's statement, then we can say that why prose has elements of truth & poem has pleasure.because as we see above that prose has simple structure containing particular subject matter & that only has aimed to be strict to the truth, while poem has sentimental & emotional journey of poet with full expressions & decorations that should have the aim of delight or please to others only.

A poem is the arrangements of words that contain meaning and musical elements. It is a piece of writing that expresses the writer’s thought and feelings in order to set a mood; it can be happy or sad simple or complex. In just a few words, a poem can say a lot, it can be happy or sad , simple or complex. A poem can either be rhyming or non-rhyming. It uses symbols and  has lines and stanzas that have sentences, fragments of sentences or both. It uses metaphor and alliteration, especially in poems for children.

Both poetry and prose are generally creative in nature and are used to express emotion or to tell a story. Although poetry is more structured in terms of the format in which it is written, prose is generally more rigid in terms of grammatical correctness. Prose is typically comprised of complete sentences which convey specific thoughts or feelings. Poetry is often more abstract or vague with words being written as they come and less attention being given to proper grammatical rules.

The Birthday Party by Harold Pinter's

Here is my Response to the given task .

Born 10 October 1930 in East London, playwright, director, actor, poet and political activist. He died 24 December 2008.
He wrote twenty-nine plays including The Birthday Party, The Caretaker, The Homecoming, and Betrayal, twenty-one screenplays including The Servant, The Go-Between and The French Lieutenant's Woman, and directed twenty-seven theatre productions, including James Joyce's Exiles, David Mamet's Oleanna, seven plays by Simon Gray and many of his own plays including his latest, Celebration, paired with his first, The Room at The Almeida Theatre, London in the spring of 2000.

“THE COMPANION OF HONOUR I REGARDED,AS AN AWARD FROM THE COUNTRYFROM 50 YEARS OF WORK- WHICH ITHOUGHT WAS OKAY”     -HAROLD PINTER
He was awarded the Shakespeare Prize (Hamburg), the European Prize for Literature (Vienna), the Pirandello Prize (Palermo), the David Cohen British Literature Prize, the Laurence Olivier Award, the Legion d’Honneur and the Moliere D'Honneur for lifetime achievement. In 1999 he was made a Companion of Literature by the Royal Society of Literature. He received honorary degrees from eighteen universities.

The Birthday Party:

The Birthday Party, Pinter’s first full-length play, opened in 1958 to terrible reviews at the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith. One performance reportedly played to exactly six people. Most critics found the play confusing, obscure, and unconvincing. The general theatergoing public, conditioned by the popular media, were equally dismissive, and the play closed after only a week.

1) The two sense of the lulu from the play is omitted  in the film because she is not protagonist in this play and lulu is a not major character in the film when lulu was performing her character at the same time other important situation were going on parallel.

2) Is movie successful in giving us the effect of menace in the movie ,because while reading the play felt that Stanley has a meritorious past which we are not informed about. yes the movie using same techniques like: Ringing of Ball knocking door , of newspaper and Stanley play the toy dam.

3) I fell the  lurking danger when the scene of two strangers come in meg and Peters  house . I have fett the effect of lucking daughter when Goldberg is taking calmly with Stanley that since is dangerous because it shows the hidden evil birthday party why and what will happen with Stanley.

4) In film newspaper has symbol and any one has know about them, if any person has to watch them. In starting film began one small room one person Petey is reading ‘Newspaper’ may be he is educated, intelligent, philosopher. He knew about what happened in the society.

5) when camera positioned on head of McCain  who playing blind man's buff and when Stanley playing it .It also seems that McCann himself confuse about what they are doing with Stanley. Camera covers so many things like it convey the room is full of objects. When camera is over the Stanley it indicates that he is bind up by such circumstances and if he wants to escape then he can’t.

6) Yes it happens in the movie that an enclosed space like a tiny kitchen and one room. We find so many things that suggest that there is no space to breathe. And we find that there are so many unpredictable dialogues from starting to the end of the play. we can’t clearly say who is right or wrong ? because all the character of the play do a right job if we look at from their perspective

7). Pinter used same techniques in his play like Picturesque, lurking danger, pause, silence, menace etc.

8). I agree with the second point " It's impossible to imagine a better film of Pinter's play than this sensitive , disturbing version director by William Fried kin.

9). If I was a director I would have made same changes like : I would have change all characters, sound effect, and focus on important dialogues.

10) If it depends on me to choose characters of the movie than I would like to give the characters to these actors:

Stanley Webber -Ranbeer Kapoor

Meg: Shree Devi

Petey –Mithun

Lulu - Dipika padukon

MacCan - Salmon khan

Goldberg - varun dhaval.

Thank You...

Matthew Arnold was one of the foremost poets and critics of the 19th century. While often regarded as the father of modern literary criticism, he also wrote extensively on social and cultural issues, religion, and education. Arnold was born into an influential English family—his father was a famed headmaster at Rugby—and graduated from Basilio College, Oxford. He began his career as a school inspector, traveling throughout much of England on the newly built railway system.

1) Arnold’s idea of disinterestedness is relevant. Attachment or any type of belief may creates controversial outcomes after long time. Its very but obvious principle given by Arnold transparent decision without any favor without partiality to give judgment its critic’s duty. As per my friend vaidehi said “dot considering effect on author or readers, it should be free from all the prejudices either historical or personal.” I am fully agree with her. Emotional attachment is not our strength its one type of illness so this Arnold’s principle is relevant in recent times.

2) comparison judgment is not appropriate like ‘The To This second idea is not appropriate for recent time. As it has compel The touchstone method is not relevant in our time because it's not possible to judge a work with the reference of any particular work's stanza or a pear graph.

Teaching Of EST In Indian Condition by R.S.SHARMA

In this essay R.S.Sharma talks about teaching of EST for science and Technology in india suffers from some seriuos drawback .the courses and method are unrelated to the specific academic and professional needs of the students ;the materials are not based on careful description of the scientific sub register and teaching staff are ill equipped and even resistant to the new tasks .yet this is an area which deserves top priority at the hands of the government and planners of technical education because teaching of EST has a

direct bearing on India's modernization and progress

There are three aspects of EST :

  1. Need Analysis
  2. Structure Analysis
  3. Expertise and Training

In this way the learner's profile would suggest that the students, who has been admitted to the first year B.Sc or B.Sc course through an admission test possesses intelligence and attainment above the average he has successfully completed some course in general English and has communicative competence in English his English however requires remedial work and further improvement

English as a subject compulsory in many institutions is taught in the first year it is taught at a first stage when many learner is familiar with applied sciences and has a little knowledge of technology or engineering.

Let me end by remarking that the teacher of EST who can plan his work properly and make the right kind of note and evaluate asking question this can be basic idea to drow attention towards English .

Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

Frankenstein

Frankenstein is a science fiction novel by Mary Shelley. Novel is also full of Gothic elements.
It is about eccentric scientist Victor Frankenstein, who joines the different body parts of the corpses and creates a Monster. Horrified by the uglinesss of Monster, Victor leaves him. Later on Monster takes revenge and kills all the near and dear  of Victor.
Entire novel is written in epistolary form. Captain Waldon writes a letter from ship to her sister.Captain was sailing deep into Northern side. There he saw a strange creature. Then they rescue a man- named Victor, who tells his own story to Waldon.
It seems that momster is a devil- who is responsible for the ruin of Victor. But Mary Shelley has given beautiful lines to the Monster also. when we read Monster's narrative it creates sympathy for him.

Reading books like this gives understanding of the fact that there is no totality of truth or Right and wrong. everything depends on perspective. we are generally habituated to look from self centred point of view. we may be right from our point of view. But at the same time if we change the perspective other is also right. in real life we need to give scope to other to present themselves.

"TUGHLAQ" by Girish Karnad

I was reading two books at a time. Moby Dick- a novel by Herman Melville and Tughlaq- a play by Girish Karnad.
Image result for "TUGHLAQ" by Girish Karnad
But truly speaking, for me Tughlaq was a love to read kind of to read.
But theneven i remember few things like Tughlaq changed capital from Delhi to Daultabad, and from there again to Delhi.
Tughlaq written by Girish Karnad in 1964, is his best loved play, about an idealist 14th-century Sultan of Delhi, Muhammad bin Tughluq, and allegory on the Nehruvian era which started with ambitious idealism and ended up in disillusionment.
Karnad shows the evolution of Tughlaq from an idealist to a tyrant lusty for power and fame, something anyone, any Indian for that matter can relate to easily especially people who are familiar with the Nehruvian Era of Indian politics.
Aziz and Azam the comic character lots their life and Sultan has no regret for their death. Is it politics?  Can king use anybody’s life as toy ? What about both characters Aziz and Azam  - both are innocent and then even they lost their life and became the part of Politics.
Reading play at first sight, reader think about only conflict between Hindu and Muslim but what about other issues which is not clearly discussed in the play. It is also there.   No doubt , Tughlaq is learned man, as idealist, as democrat , hatred and revolt of that people , his impulsive nature ,and so many things with good qualities but  then even he fails as Sultan and king why ??  it is also necessary to think with new approach – New historicisms because something is there and we don’t read it with lines.
Double fadedness -  politicians  today. Gandhi was killed by a mad Hindu. And Pandit Nehru mostly followed the Sultan Tughlaq’s method. Tughlaq’s character describes what is happening today.
There is no differences between 14th century Indian and contemporary India. Was Tughlaq’s time in any way different from that of India Today? “
 Reality of India is that….
Politicians are no less mad than Tughlaq.”

    2)    The Menippean satire, seriocomic genre, chiefly in ancient Greek literature and Latin literature, it also found as it is serious comic genre. We can find   how Priyanka has problem with her mother that

“I want my mother to be happy. But I cannot kill myself for it.”

and she tries to be free from the restrictions that was leads towards The Menippean satire where profession is important than the family so we can say that , time of modernization and globalization, because of that, some traditional ideas are satirized, like, hacking and blackmailing Boss,. Here we won’t found respect towards the old values and respect as Bhaktin has remarked  “look at the world and following tradition,” means world change as our self. So only self-achievement is important into Menippean satire where we found multi layered interpretation of any text.
New literature begins with new thinking and that thinking make an impact over the young generation. One night at the call center is written by chetan Bhagat. Its s very well read novel and very famous author who knows how to do marketing and how to attract youth. “One Night @ The Call Center” not only covers the problems of everyday life but also talks about the risks and consequences of Globalization and how it affects India’s youth.
Bhagat exemplary calls attention to this point as the agent’s customs are put to an acid test, making it clear how hard it is nowadays to follow one’s ethical values again. Chetan Bhagat made an great effort to introduce this novel and after that the movie. It shows the popularity of the reading and Chetan Bhagat creates a kind of atmosphere to the ‘Yuvas’ to read the novels. Here in this movie, Bhagat introducing various concepts like super natural elements as we connect it with Hindi TV serials; we find this connection very similar.  The story is narrated by shyam the main lead in the novel. the story itself is a narration by a lady to the novelist himself in a train journey. All the six friends are looser. Some for love.
Some for job. some for carrier. Some for relation. so what they want to know? They decide to change one thing each and this is the main point in the novel the call from the god almighty himself. Hope you remember of the story being told by a lady in train the lady herself turns out to b a messenger of god. (Actually not sure but she disappears so what are we suppose to conclude) Again key ingredients fresh story. And this can take this novel to popular at the stage.
This novel is a key function to a literary thinking and the experience of being told.

Education and Technology, CALL and Web Tools

Image result for Education and Technology, CALL and Web Tools box

1. We are living into the dynamic era also known as 21st century where without using technology we cannot survive into the world because today practicality is very necessary   part into education as well as in day to day life. Today time and human emergence is very important because time becomes precious   which was a big problem, can solved by using software or technology, it is results benefit for teachers as well as learners.

Digitization is also known as digital revolution which can solve every problem. New way of teaching have to learn into new environment so in a dynamic world which is re- rounded by almost endless amount were all technology is into our fingertips. By prevent of technology it has replaced real lasting education? If we talk about mobile   that was also part and past of our body. Because we can keep our all data it causes were we want the same way mobile also use into education.

(2) Main difference of my point of that ‘Using Technology’ is center on simple using technology
or ‘Technology Integration’ center of attention  is  using technology to create and develop new way to learn.. Further many difference of :
Using Technology is delivering to information
Technology Integration is used constructed and build knowledge.
In simple way…Technology Use is when electronically devices of any type is assessable for students to work on, and “use”. Example like…
·         Students can send e-mail to a friend.
·         Students can use their I-pod to listen to music.
·         Students can use the computer to play cards.
Technology integration takes all of the devices that are available to teachers and makes significant use of them within the classroom. Computer-based tools allow students to learn in a deeper and immediate way. A Teacher can share an author's Web site with young children to help them understand how writers make their stories interesting and fun to read that call integration.

In Last….
*  Using Technology :
Technology use can be as simple as turning on you I-pod to listen to music. Using technology does not mean to academically gain anything. The use is the act of just doing, without having to think.
*  Technology integration:
Technology Integration means to use a electronic device to academically learn about something. Integration means to actively engage in learning.

(3) Exmple of : Teachers can integrate blogs by asking students to answer different prompt on their online journals. This will allow students to think about topics that were discussed in class.
The best example in our department Quiz Blog Task..These examples are all uses of technology, but they help to promote the educational growth of a student. These examples allow students’ to learn, and to think about the topics at hand.

Online Discussion - Education System: Class in Forest Inbox

This image use as a satire, Because the concept of exam is not well in our education system. we all have different interest, various capability,  ability and disability also. Because we all are different but in this picture only one competition is climbing the tree and it's for all even elephant and fish also. We have same education system for all type of students and we have expectation that all should come first or atleast in first five. How is it possible? All have different capacity and expertization in their own skills. Their capacity and skills should be judge accordingly. Same evaluation can not give right result.

Ancient and Modern

Ancient and Modern
Image result for Ancient and ModernImage result for Ancient and Modern

I like to modern time because modern times give to many changed humanity. For example Study , many people to get effort job. Modern times give to many technology.

Ancient time is a not good some rules and thought are not good for example childe marriage , Sati pratha , Killing girl child by bailing the still born baby in the hot pot of milk  etc. I like both but I don’t prefer same things of ancient time.
Image result for Ancient and Modern

From Modern point of view , we can criticize Ancient that- As said by T.S.ELIOT in Tradition and Individual Talent, while discussing Historical sense-  that influence of past ruins the new talent. under the influence of great writer it  becomes difficult for Individual to write.

As well as we can defend modern that, they are not  copying Ancients but adding much more in that. New plot structures, experimentive narrative technique, Psychological portrayal of character, fusion of various arts into literature etc. are gift of Modern writers.

so to think of mutual existence of both is a better idea. it is our conditioning of mind since childhood to compare and contrast two things, whether possible or not.
Image result for Ancient and Modern

Generalizing anything is major problem. there are plenty of Ancient writers. how can one say that they were good or bad- how can you generalize?? some of them may be artist with great literary abilities , some may not!!!!!! so judge individual by reading them, whether Ancient or Modern. similarly all Ancients are Great Classics and all Modern are rubbish, childish , it is not so.

Thank you........
